How the 2020 Homeowner Solar Rebate works

If you are a homeowner you are entitled to the Federal Government’s hugely popular ‘solar rebate’ or 'solar-cash back' for installing solar power on your home. The ‘rebate’ or Small-Scale Technology Certificate (STC) Scheme is extremely generous. At time of writing (October, 2020) you can claim up to $3,865 on a 6.6kW system. Your chosen solar company will handle the application for the rebate on your behalf and give you this rebate as a discount at the point of sale. Things to know about the rebate:

• The more solar panels you install, the greater the size of your rebate.

To be eligible for this rebate:
